Is That a Tan or Dirt? - Week Seven 1/5/15

Week one in the field is complete¡ (The exclamation mark on the keybord is broken, so I have to use the upsidedown one.)

My new space in Rosario

On Año Nuevo, we had to stay indoors because of all the drunk people on the streets after their new years celebrations, so we stayed in the pench and cleaned and slept. We both took like 3 1/2 hour nap. I dont remember much of what happened that day, but it was kind of boring. Nice, but boring. Oh, we celbrated the new year with cookies and candy that I brought from the states. I gave my companion some candy canes and she was super happy because they dont exist here, apparently.

Thursday was my first day of real work, and it went really well. I got sunburned, so the sunscreen that Kirsten got me is a life saver¡  Some of the roads that we work on are dirt, so I work most of the day with dirt in my shoes. It´s okay though, it´s not as bad as it could be.

Friday was good. We taught a non-active family with a 5 year old that loves monster high. She gave me a sticker of them¡

Saturday we walked a lot. And at the end of the day we taught a family where the dad is a evangelical minister, so you can guess how well that went. Hermana Yi rocked it though.

Sunday was good. We had 4 investigators at church which is huge¡ We had an abuelita and a family with a mom and two daughters. They are such good people. The daughters are really cute.

Today I was doing laundry, and i accidently turned the nightgown grandma gave me pink. ¡Lo sineto Grandma¡¡ It´s like I never learned to do laundry. Tut tut.

I dont want to write much more because I want to send pictures and that takes time, so if I have time to write more, I will later¡
