This was a sad week for me
because the other district left. We all got to be such good friends in
those short three weeks, that it was really hard when they left. On
Sunday we had THE BEST devotional. I think I found my future husband.
And no, I'm not thinking about that stuff while on the mission, but I
can notice the cute ones, right? Anyway, it was the BYU men's chorus and
it was amazing. We also had Elder Malm from Sweden come to the
devotional last night, and he talked about a lot of stuff, but I really
liked how he said that we were saved for this generation for one of two
reasons. We were either valiant, or because he trusts us. That was so
cool to hear because it means that I am here for a reason, and that when
I feel down, or I am wondering why I'm here, there is a reason why.
Anyway,
my fingers are peeling, and my legs are always dry, but those aren't
the only things that are dry...THERE IS STILL NO SNOW! I'm praying for a
white Christmas, but I don't know if it will happen. I really want it
to.
Also, WE GET OUR TRAVEL PLANS ON FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Aaaaaahhhhhhhhhh! That's so exciting! I'll let you know what they are.
This
morning we got to go to the tiemplo and the MTC president was in out
session! He saw us and tapped me on the shoulder and said, "I'll be
watching you" in this really creepy voice. Super cool! (and also weird)
Oh,
last Monday, Elder Aubrey was running to tackle another Elder and in
the process of jumping up, his pants ripped right up the bummo! It was
so funny! I laughed until I cried. In order to get home, he clenched his
bum cheeks together and walked all the way like that! We all died
laughing. THEN, last night, he was doing some funky walk and he slipped
in a puddle annnnndddd, you guessed it! Ripped his pants again! It was
the funniest thing to happen since his ripped them the last time. Ah,
and he only had two pairs of pants. He is such a funny kid. And yes, I
do have permission to tell this story.
I
love the gospel of Jesus Christ so much and I am learning something new
everyday. I am so grateful to have it in my life and for the happiness
it gives me. I am grateful for his infinite and eternal sacrifice.
I love you all,
Hermana Spencer
