Unusual Flooding - Week Nine 1/19/15

Let me start off by saying that it is super dark in the cyber place and so I am having a hard time seeing the keyboard. Lo siento.

Well last week, we went to sleep like normal humans on Monday night, and on tuesday morning, I woke up to a flood in our apartment. Literally, a flood. We live on the second floor, and all of our windows were shut, but apparently water still got in. We couldn´t find a leak or water source anywhere, so it is still a mystery to this day.

Anyway, everything was completely soaked and we had to squeegie all of the water into the drain in the bathroom floor. We had to leave to Rosario that day, so we put our mattresses on chairs and moved everything off of the floor, and caught the bus.

We had to take two buses and a taxi to get to the mission home, and while we were in the taxi, the taki driver told Hermana Yi the f word in engish. Apparently he lived in New York for 8 years, and that´s the only thing he remembers. Go figure. Well, we got to the mission home, and ate pizza  California flavor (fried eggs and bacon. where they got the idea that that is what California tastes like, i will never know) It was good, though. Then I took a shower in their amazing shower, and then went to sleep in their amazing air conditoned home. I woke up, and took another shower because it was so amazing, and then I went into the city to do visa stuff. We took pictures and got fingerprinted and then we stood around for literally 3 hours while the assistants did stuff that I dont know. It was fine though, because I got to talk to Elders Blackmon and Wheaton and it was nice to talk to people that were in the CCM with me. After that, we came back to the mission home and I cought the tail end of the trainers meeting and then we ate more pizza and went home.

We got caught in three thunderstorms this week, and I love the rain because if it´s raining, it´s not hot.

Well, I have to go, it´s time, but I love all of you, and hope you are doing well!

Con Mucho Amor,
Hermana Spencer

PS: Today marks my 2-month anniversary in the mission!
